Tanzanija I deo

Jos jedna zemlja, jos jedna Afrika. Prelaz iz Malavija nimalo lak. Mislim na vozacki deo. Onaj birokratski kao i do sad; plati pa klati + pogranicna ponuda svega i svacega uz viku i trcanje, povlacenje i cimanje.

Prvo ide planinski deo, plantaze caja i uopste mnogo vise i to pravog zelenila. Prvi dan sam se uzverao do Tukuye i zato sam valjda i odseo u prenocistu naziva Kilimandzro, a drugi dan popio i pivo istog naziva. Daleko je sever i pravi beli vrh.

Another country, another Africa. The ride from Malavi was tough. The bureaucracy was the same.
Frist the mountain part, tea plantations and much more of some real greenery. On the day one, I climbed Tukuya and slept at a place called Kilimanjaro. The next day I even drank beer called Kilimanjaro. The north and the white peak are still far away.
Something happened today. So far I haven’t had any problems concerning safety issues. Not anymore! This morning, just after I left the town Noyololo, I entered a thick forest area (which wa ssupposed to protect me from the wind). The traffic wasn’t very heavy on the wavy road, and since there weren’t any houses, there weren’t any cyclists either. I rode 12 km away, and on a climb I met two cyclists whom I got ahead of. The next moment one of the two appeared next to me and threw a stone at me. Luckily, the helmet was there to protect my head. I fell into the ditch next to the road, and the two men started yelling at me and asking for the money (they were very clear about it). I defended myself with something which was more like grass than a real stick, and as I approached one of them, the other took one of my bags and they ran away through the woods. Finally a car stopped and whatsmore there were cops in it. I hope they will find the robbers, they left their bikes on the rode, but they have my camera, phone and the cards from my camera with all the photos! I’ll by a new camera, a new phone… but the photos can’t be recovered ever if they don’t get them back to me.
My travel through Tanzania is in those pictures, too. After another „hilly“ day I reached Mabeya, a dusty city in the corner of Tanzania. With the help of the wind, I went downhill to Igawa. They told me it was all uphill further on and I arrived to Makabako with lots of effort. The city on the railroad, and this country has only two railroads. In this city the train goes only twice a week. After that followed the already mentioned Noyololo.
I arrived to Iringe, without my camera. A big city on the hills above the river with the same name. Without my camera I feel like I’m without my… I’m going to dinner now. Here, it’s most often rice, or chipsy, as they call the potatoes which is abundant here. They eat doughnuts here a lot, they sell them everywhere. Oranges are as sweet as honey.
Today, African honey was kind of bitter for me, though.

Posle jos jednog brdovitog dana stigao sam u Mabeyu, prasnjavi grad coska Tanzanije. Odatle me je nizbrdica i vetar(pola dana) vodili do Igawe.
